Cyber Security: Protect Yourself

  • Barrie City Hall Rotunda 70 Collier Street Barrie, ON, L4M 5R5 Canada (map)

FREE | Adults

Protection of personal information and safe internet practice

Current statistics reflect 31,661,870 Internet users or 90.9% of the Canada’s population rely on the internet to perform personal and professional tasks daily. The internet has made it convenient to bank, book appointments, shop online or communicate globally.

If you take proper steps to mitigate risk, you are not left exposed and vulnerable to cybercrimes such as fraud and identify theft. Guest speakers Alfred Lai, Cyber Security Specialist and members of the OPP and Barrie Police Cyber Crime Units will identify what cybercrime is, how to recognize it, how to report it; but most importantly, how to protect ourselves from it at work or play.

This FREE event is brought to you by the Association of Administrative Professionals (AAP) of Barrie-Simcoe County. Please register your attendance below.
