2017 Salamander Festival

  • Belfoundtain Conservation Area 10 Credit Park Street Caledon, ON, L0N Canada (map)

FREE | All Ages

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Belfountain Community Organization in partnership with the Credit Valley Conservation Authority will host the annual Salamander Festival. Along with the familiar Belfountain Village Church venue and the Credit Valley park, several local businesses will join to add new venues so that the festival can be enjoyed throughout the Hamlet.

Visitors can look forward to the sizzling breakfast followed by lunch showcasing local fare cooked on the spot. The Belfountain Inn's squash soup will be back by popular demand.

Live entertainment provided by local artists is guaranteed to get people moving and singing along. Vendors will sell their wares, and bidding will be encouraged at the silent auction.

Credit Valley Conservation is all geared up for the excitement that their wildlife presentations bring to visitors in the park.

The Salamander Festival is the Belfountain Community Organization's premiere fund-raiser to help the BCO face the challenges of keeping Belfountain small. Its mandate is protecting and preserving the rural heritage and environmental integrity of the Hamlet of Belfountain and environs. "Small is Beautiful " is our motto.

Many local businesses have helped over the years with cash donations or goods and services, and we would be most grateful for your ongoing help in making this 21 st year of the Salamander Festival a successful one.
